Benefits of Ventilation Units

Health

Clean, fresh air promotes well-being and a healthy lifestyle. Poor indoor air quality can lead to a rise in asthma and allergy symptoms due to the increased concentration of allergens such as dust mites, VOCs, pollen, and mold. With our MERV-13 rated intake filters and optional activated carbon or MERV-15 filter casings to capture fine dust and pollen, even allergy sufferers can breathe easily.

Comfort

On average, we spend approximately 90% of our time inside. That makes a comfortable environment very important to both our health and our sense of well-being. Zehnder systems products can offer high indoor air quality through continuous extraction of moist, stale air from bathrooms and kitchens and a continuous supply of clean, tempered air to living spaces. Low-velocity air supply ensures that fresh, clean air does not create drafts around the home.

Heat Recovery

Zehnder ventilation systems can transfer the heat energy of the extracted air to the fresh air. This heat transfer takes place through thin plastic plates in the core so that stale air never mixes with the fresh, clean intake air. Our systems are some of the most efficient available, recovering up to 92% of the home’s heat.

Energy Savings

Zehnder systems ventilate our increasingly airtight properties in an energy efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Zehnder whole house ventilation technology can recover up to 92% of the building’s heat and contribute to substantial savings on energy bills.

Installation

Because Zehnder design and manufacture all the elements of their systems, components are designed to fit together. This integrated functionality allows for a more rapid system installation saving both time and money for both the installer and the end user.

Humidity Recovery

Zehnder ERV systems help keep humidity levels in the home comfortable year-round. Up to 60% of the difference in relative humidity between the wetter and dryer air streams is preserved and transferred to the dryer air stream, usually the intake air in winter and the exhaust in summer. In very humid or dry climates, stand-alone dehumidification or humidification may still be needed; your ERV will slow down the process of the air getting too humid or too dry, reducing the energy required for those systems.
